Are You Suffering?

Meta

People living with HH should never take iron or vitamin C supplements. And if you have liver damage, never consume alcoholic beverages or raw seafood because they may do serious damage and you could end up dead.

Normal functioning folks absorb about 10 percent of the iron that is in the food they eat, which covers the amount of iron needed to keep everything running cool. Those with hemochromatosis absorb around 30 percent of iron. After a while they absorb and cannot get rid of between five to 20 times more iron than the body needs.
And yes, this can and will eventually kill you…

unless you get treatment asap

Hemochromatosis is ocassionally known as:

HC
HH
HLAH
Bronze Diabetes
Hemochromatoses
Haemochromatosis
Bronzed cirrhosis
Pigmentary cirrhosis
Iron storage disorder
genetic hemochromatosis
Primary Hemochromatosis
Familial Hemochromatosis
Troisier-Hanot-Chauffard syndrome
Von Recklenhausen-Applebaum disease

And seems to be directly related to other nasty predicaments such as
diabetes, arthritis, heart disease, liver and pancreas problems …
such as cirrossis and cancer.

The greatest amount of iron is in red meat and iron-fortified breads, pastries and cereals.

Because the body has no natural way to rid itself of the excess iron, it is stored in body tissues, specifically the liver, heart, and pancreas.
So…here’s a little list of what could happen if you don’t follow a certain routine:
arthritis, liver disease, including an enlarged liver, cirrhosis, cancer, and even complete liver failure.

Damage to the pancreas, often causing diabetes.

Irregular heart beat… or congestive heart failure
impotence, early menopause.

Gray and or bronze skin color, thyroid malfunction,
damaged adrenal glands.
